How Breeding Works in Palworld
Breeding requires a Breeding Farm unlocked at Technology level 19, one male and one female Pal, and Cake placed in the farm chest. After the breeding meter fills, you receive an egg to incubate. Most pairs use the CombiRank formula where the child breeding power equals the average of both parents ranks.

How does Palworld breeding prediction work?
The game uses a CombiRank formula: child rank equals floor((parentA rank + parentB rank + 1) / 2). The Pal whose rank is closest becomes the offspring. Special parent pairs override this with fixed results.
Can I breed Jetragon in Palworld?
Yes, through special combinations. Jetragon + Jetragon produces Jetragon, or Relaxaurus + Frostallion also produces Jetragon. Use the calculator special combo mode to find all paths.
What are special breed combos?
There are 28 unique parent pairs that always produce a specific child regardless of rank, such as Relaxaurus + Sparkit yielding Relaxaurus Lux.
Does gender matter for breeding?
Yes, you need one male and one female Pal. Gender is shown in the Pal summary screen. Same-gender pairs cannot breed.
How do mutations affect breeding results?
Mutations are a separate 1.0 mechanic that can enhance a bred Pal with higher stats and unique passives. They do not change which species is produced.
