Panthalus Guide — Unlock the World Tree
The World Tree has teased Palworld since early access, but patch 1.100.427 finally opens it through a dedicated quest starring Panthalus — the whale-like Legendary Pal guarding the barrier. You cannot brute-force the seal: collect four Echobones, craft the Echoing Flute, capture Panthalus at Level 70, then interact with the World Tree terminal while Panthalus rides in your party. This guide walks every step from Deserted Islet to permanent World Tree access.
Prerequisites
Defeat all eight tower bosses including Auri and Shaolong on Sunreach. The Panthalus researcher is reachable earlier, but the World Tree terminal only responds after the full tower set and capture quest complete. Stock Pal Spheres and Pal Metal weapons before the shrine fight.
Four Echobone Locations
Accept the quest on Deserted Islet to mark all four whale skeletons. Loot one bone from each: near Hill of Beginnings, Eternal Pyre Tower, Altar of the Windcaller, and Land of Absolute Zero. You may pre-collect bones before talking to the researcher, but the map markers appear only after accepting the mission.
Echoing Flute and Shrine Fight
Craft the flute at any workbench, return to the researcher, and play it at the glowing shrine beside him. Panthalus spawns immediately — focus ranged DPS, then throw any sphere for a guaranteed capture. Speak to the researcher again to finish the quest and receive To The World Tree.
Removing the World Tree Barrier
